docflow is governance for agent-led software.
Keep decisions, conventions, plans, audits, and rollups inside the repo — readable by humans, checkable by machines.
The repo should remember.
docflow starts from a simple belief: the repository should not only contain code. It should contain the reasons the code exists, the rules that shape it, the work still in motion, and the checks that keep the system honest.
Everything docflow writes is plain text, versioned with the work it governs. Reviewable in a pull request. Diffable in an audit. Readable in ten years, with or without us.
Prompts were never the operating system.
AI coding doesn't fail because prompts are bad. It fails because intent, decisions, constraints, and follow-through drift — across chats, branches, tickets, and whichever tool held the conversation that mattered.
docflow is the durable layer underneath that motion. Decisions recorded. Plans queued. Conventions visible. Audits repeatable. Progress legible — without inventing another software factory.
Get Docflow.
Docflow helps your coding agent record project decisions, plan work and check what is complete. You use its skills through prompts in your agent — there is no Docflow terminal CLI. The results live in ordinary files in your repositories: plain markdown, versioned with the code, checkable by machines.
Not another agent runtime.
docflow doesn't try to become the place where coding happens. It complements coding agents, spec tools, CI, issue trackers, and internal developer portals — the governance substrate beneath them.
The record is plain files in your repo. If a tool disappears tomorrow, the record survives.
Clarity is coming.
Clarity is the desktop companion for docflow. Open a repo, inspect its decision system, browse plans, review audits, and understand the current state — without writing back to the repository.
Clarity is in active development. Builds for macOS, Windows, and Linux are on the way; the first release will be announced to the waitlist below.
Tell us what you are governing.
Docflow is the product. If you want the record inside a repo you care about, write. Name is optional. A message is optional. Email is how we reply.
